Description
Most of my paintings are done outdoors en plein air, but this was done from a photograph. When it came to doing the middle ground, I decided to put purple flowers there. It evolved into a field of flowers. I added mood with the dark gradient sky. It was the first time I realized that I could change the scene and paint it any way I liked. Thus an epiphany.
