Description
These slot canyons are shaped by water sculpting the relatively soft sandstone during flash floods. Incredibly abstract, natural beauty that constantly changes with the movement of the light.
This particular piece (the fourth in a series of 4) was painted for my Aunt Gloria. She had been diagnosed with a brain tumor and was dying when I began this painting. Creating this work turned into a healing way for me to celebrate her life and process her passing.
